A photorealistic panoramic triptych capturing a teacher’s workflow across a day: left panel shows a focused planning moment at a cluttered desk with a blurred laptop screen, worked examples, fraction tiles and diagnostic cards neatly arranged; center panel shows the same teacher circulating among diverse small groups, a kitchen timer on the table and students writing as the teacher offers concise, targeted guidance; right panel depicts an evening of reflection with the teacher grading exit tickets, annotating a lesson plan and organizing digital folders on a laptop. Warm natural classroom light, shallow depth of field, and editorial realism tie the three scenes together, conveying the quiet intensity and craft of effective teaching.

Before:

  • Write measurable objectives at top of plan.
  • Prepare worked example(s), manipulatives, OneNote page.
  • Preload three short diagnostics and an exit ticket.
  • Identify two scaffolds (sentence starters, partially completed example).

During:

  • Follow time blocks; stop after ~10 minutes of speaking.
  • Collect diagnostic evidence early and adjust groupings.
  • Circulate; give targeted prompts to ZPD learners.
  • Keep instruction concise; avoid unnecessary details.

After:

  • Grade exit tickets against rubric; note which students need reteach.
  • Annotate lesson plan: what worked; what to change next year.
  • Save lesson and annexes in an organised OER folder for reuse.
